Intr-un timp extrem de scurt , Gabriel Catrinescu a reusit sa construiasca un lot de reproductie extrem de valoros . Pornind cu doua teluri : zborurile de maraton si columbodroamele , acesta a reusit sa achizitioneze porumbei de exceptie de la urmatorii columbofili : Alfons Klaas , Arie Dijkstra ,Gerard Koopman ,Mario Doornebal , Bert van de Berghe , Sjaak Buwalda , Hugo Batenburg , bineinteles din cei mai buni porumbei ai acestora .
In aceasta duminica insa , a reusit sa achizitioneze , dupa o investitie considerabila , patru pui unici pentru zborurile de maraton . Patru pui de la cel mai bun maratonist european al momentului – Hugo Batenburg. Acesti pui au fost reprodusi de catre Hugo special pentru Pipa , fiind extrem de consanguini pe “Witbuick” , 2 dintre cei 4 pui achizitionati avandu-l pe “Witbuick” de 13 ori in pedigree !!!
